Years ago, my life coach shared a powerful prayer, written by Maureen Moss, with me.
At that time, I did not fully understand the power of words. However, I did trust the messenger so, I spoke this prayer deliberately and faithfully everyday.
Within a couple of weeks, I began to notice a major shift in my finances. I was seeking a new job at the time and I received multiple job offers for opportunities that doubled my original salary. I began to find money. I received a few unexpected refund checks in the mail. A person who I had forgotten I previously sowed money, spontaneously repaid my seed. I received deep discounts on my purchases. In essence, my financial condition was resurrected by speaking these words.
Fast forward to this now moment, I recognize the myriad of blessings that occurred.
Blessing #1: I witnessed how God uses people to instruct and teach (Psalm 32:8). My life coach served as God’s divine messenger.
Blessing #2: I learned the significance of Proverbs 18:21 which states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Instead of affirming my challenges, through daily complaint (death), I spoke LIFE over my finances!
Blessing #3: I acknowledged God (Jehovah-Jireh) as the source of my supply (Genesis 22:14). The jobs, the unexpected blessings, the people were all simply vehicles but, The Source was God.
Blessing #4: I didn’t just speak the words, I learned to understood the intention and power behind the words, and I adjusted my life to live the words.
Blessing #5: Through speaking this affirmative word, I learned to call those things that were not as if they were (Romans 4:17). This prayer taught me how to prophecy my future and claim my divine inheritance.
Blessing #6: This one is BIG! I disciplined myself to tithe the first 10% of my income, in secret. I gave my first freely, faithfully, and joyfully (Leviticus 27:30-34, Proverbs 3:9-10, Matthew 6:1-4, 2 Corinthians 9:7). I was blessed bountifully in return.
The bottom line…
So many people get entangled in the avoidance of God and His Word. We allow ourselves to be distracted by engaging (consciously or unconsciously) in the collective argument of what to call Him. We emotionally tap out when scripture is quoted. And we consciously choose to continue to live a life from a mindset of lack, limitation, and stagnation (through our thoughts, words, actions, and habits), while simultaneously asking for more.
Reality as I see it…
Until we learn to acknowledge and put God first, in all things, and discipline our lives according to His word, abundance and prosperity, if ever achieved, will be fleeting at best.
I believe you want more and I want you to have it!
So as you begin to read and speak these words, take them to heart.
Bathe your mind in His Word.
Discipline your life according to Spiritual law.
Know that you are loved and that God will never forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Trust in the knowing that everything is working together for your highest good.
And watch your blessing flow.
Peace & Abundant Blessings,
P.S. Speak this prayer aloud twice daily for a minimum of 21 days; 40 days and 40 nights is even better, as 40 is the number of major transformation.
